The Class 185.2 represents the evolution of the Bombardier TRAXX AC2 platform, distinguished by its crash-optimized locomotive body introduced to the Deutsche Bahn AG (DB AG) fleet beginning in 2005. Classified under Era VI, these dual-system electric locomotives are engineered for cross-border operations on 15 kV/16.7 Hz and 25 kV/50 Hz AC overhead systems. A total of 202 units were delivered to DB AG by 2009, establishing the class as a primary asset for heavy freight and logistics services across the European rail network.
This N scale model features a factory-installed digital sound decoder and a precision motor with a flywheel driving four axles. The technical design includes a die-cast metal chassis for improved traction and finely detailed metal pantographs reflecting the prototype’s dual-system capability. In digital mode, the LED triple headlights and red tail lights can be controlled independently according to the direction of travel.
